For laminating operations involving specialty films such as PET, laser, or metallic materials, the ZDFM‑AD model from Hongqiang includes an optional hot knife cutting unit that uses an instant‑heating copper blade to melt film edges during trimming—an approach that may help reduce issues like burrs, incomplete cuts, or curling sometimes seen with conventional chain knives. The machine builds on a standard automated sequence (feeding, gluing, laminating, and stacking) and employs three servo systems for tension and speed control. Its patented three‑zone electromagnetic heating system reaches 100°C in about five minutes and is reported to consume roughly 33% less energy than some conventional alternatives. With operating speeds from 20 to 100 m/min, the equipment is often chosen for high‑grade packaging, anti‑counterfeit labels, and specialty printing where clean, smooth edges are desirable.
